At Mind & Body Support, we believe meaningful support goes beyond addressing a single challenge. True wellbeing is achieved when physical health, emotional wellbeing, social connection, personal growth, and everyday independence are supported together.
Our team brings extensive experience from clinical and disability support settings, where we recognised that lasting outcomes require a holistic approach. Rather than focusing on one symptom or one solution, we take the time to understand the whole person—their goals, strengths, interests, and support needs.
This shared philosophy is what brought our team together. We are passionate about helping participants build confidence, develop skills, improve health and wellbeing, strengthen community connections, and live life on their own terms. Our diverse range of services allows us to provide support across multiple areas of life because we understand that every person’s journey is unique.
A key part of our culture is a commitment to health, movement, and wellbeing. Every member of our team shares a passion for supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals while promoting healthy, active, and fulfilling lifestyles.

Hi, I’m Jim! I’m the founder of Mind & Body Support and a passionate disability support worker dedicated to helping people build confidence, independence and meaningful connections within their community. I believe the best support is built on trust, respect and understanding, taking the time to get to know each person so support can be tailored to their individual goals, interests and strengths.
Health, fitness and wellbeing have always been a big part of my life. I’ve spent more than 15 years involved in the fitness industry and love using movement as a way to improve both physical and mental wellbeing. Alongside my work in disability support, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and am completing my Certificate III and IV in Personal Training, allowing me to combine evidence-based support with practical fitness and wellbeing strategies.
Since beginning my career in disability support in 2020, I’ve worked across schools, community programs and one-on-one supports with people of all ages and abilities. Every participant has taught me something different, and I continue to be inspired by their resilience, determination and unique perspectives. Helping people achieve goals they once thought were out of reach is the most rewarding part of what I do.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me training at the gym, spending time outdoors, exploring new hiking trails or enjoying time with family and friends. I’m always looking to learn, grow and challenge myself so I can provide the highest quality support and create positive, lasting outcomes for every participant I work with.

Hi, I’m Darci! I am a support worker with mind and body support who is passionate about making a difference in someone’s life. I believe that support is so much more than assisting with daily tasks- it’s about building genuine connections, encouraging independence and giving someone a reason to smile and enjoy every day.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at the gym, on a walking track, exploring new places, playing with makeup, baking a sweet treat or spending quality time with my friends and family. I love setting goals for myself and challenging myself to learn, grow and become the best version of myself, both personally and professionally.
I began my career in disability because I wanted a role where I could genuinely make an impact while building meaningful relationships. Every day is different, and I love that no two people or support shifts are ever the same.
One thing that has surprised me most since starting in support work is just how much I’ve learned from the people I support. Their resilience, sense of humour, and unique perspectives have taught me so much and constantly remind me why I love what I do.
At the moment, I’m working towards completing my Business course, achieving new fitness goals, and continuing to grow my beauty business. I love challenging myself, and I’m always looking for opportunities to learn new skills and continue growing in both my personal and professional life.”

Hi, I’m Vanessa! I’m a passionate support worker who loves helping people build confidence, independence and live life to the fullest. I believe the best support is built around each person’s individual goals and interests, and I find it incredibly rewarding to see the people I support grow and achieve things they once thought were out of reach.
I’ve been providing person-centred support to adults living with disability for more than four years, supporting people with autism, anxiety and a range of physical and mental health challenges. I enjoy building genuine connections, encouraging independence and sharing experiences that bring joy, whether that’s exploring the community, getting creative or simply having a great conversation.
Outside of work, I love staying active at the gym, running, swimming and paddleboarding. I’m also passionate about arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, exploring new cafés, restaurants and walking trails, browsing op shops and spending time at the beach. My current personal goal is completing a full marathon.
I first discovered disability support while working as a dog walker, where I built a friendship with a client’s adult son with autism. Those conversations introduced me to the disability sector, and I quickly realised it was the career I wanted to pursue.
The most rewarding part of my role is watching participants gain confidence, learn new skills and become more independent. Seeing their progress inspires me every day, and I love continuing to learn and grow alongside the people I support.
