NDIS School Holiday Programs & Support

NDIS School Holiday Programs & Support

Our NDIS school holiday support is designed to help participants stay active, connected and engaged during the school holidays. Depending on individual goals and funding arrangements, a support worker can assist participants to access recreational activities, community outings and social experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

Support can be tailored to the individual, whether the goal is to try something new, develop social skills, build confidence away from regular routines or simply enjoy more opportunities to participate in the community during the holidays.

Weekend Activities & Community Excursions

Support doesn’t have to stop when the school holidays finish. Mind & Body Support can also help participants access social, recreational, and community activities on weekends.

Weekend support may include outings to local attractions, sporting activities, community events, cafés, recreational facilities, outdoor activities and other experiences based on the participant’s interests and goals.

MORE THAN JUST AN ACTIVITY

School Holiday Support Built Around Participation, Confidence & Fun

School holidays can provide opportunities for children and young people with disability to try new activities, practise social skills, build confidence and participate in the community outside their usual weekly routine.

At Mind & Body Support, activities can be tailored around the participant's interests, support needs and goals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Flexible & Supportive Holiday Programs

Our school holiday activities are designed to be flexible and participant-focused. Some participants may enjoy highly social group outings, while others may benefit from smaller, quieter community experiences with additional one-on-one support. We work closely with participants and families to ensure that activities align with personal interests, comfort levels, and goals, creating enjoyable and meaningful experiences during school holidays.

Supporting Social Connection & Independence

Participating in community excursions and school holiday programs can help participants build social confidence, improve communication skills, increase independence, and strengthen community participation. These activities also encourage physical movement, healthy routines, emotional well-being, and positive social engagement during school holidays. Our goal is to make every outing enjoyable, supportive, and empowering while helping participants feel more confident in everyday community settings.

Our services are available to NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed, as well as private and self-funded clients across Melbourne. No matter how your support is funded, we work with you to create flexible, person-centred support that fits your goals, your routine, and your budget.
